Course delivery options
Course TTb+ is delivered on your company site over a period of 4 days.
Course TTb+ involves a total of 8 seminars.
The seminar material is supported by class discussions and group exercises.
Seminar 1 to Seminar 6
The material presented in Seminar 1 to Seminar 6 is the same as that presented in our TTb Course.
Seminar 7 (RTL TTRDs)
We provide customised ‘RTL TTRDs’ to the majority ReliabiliTTy licensees as part of their SafeTTy Solutions package. These ‘RTL TTRDs’ are – of course – provided with full source code.
In Seminar 7 on Course TTb+, we build on the material presented in the first three days and discuss the design, architecture and implementation of these code examples.
Seminar 8 (Test and Verification processes)
In Seminar 8, we consider the software test and verification processes that need to be conducted in order to meet the needs of one or more international safety standards. This highly-customised seminar will typically cover the basics of unit and integration testing and will then explore test-coverage analysis and related topics (e.g. MC/DC).
Throughout the seminar, the focus will be on practical techniques that build on the RTL TTRDs discussed in Seminar 7.
The seminar is matched to the needs of a particular customer. For example, it may consider system development in compliance with ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 (or any other required standards).
Course TTb+ is presented by Dr Michael J. Pont.
Michael was awarded a BSc degree (in Electronics and Electrical Engineering) by the University of Glasgow (UK) and a PhD (in Computer Science) by the University of Southampton (UK). He is the author of several successful books and more than 100 technical papers: he is named inventor / co-inventor on a number of patents. He has given invited presentations (including “keynote” and “plenary” talks) at a large number of international conferences.
Michael has been working in the field of time-triggered (TT) embedded systems for more than 20 years. He began this work in the academic sector, latterly as Professor of Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Leicester (UK). During his time with the University of Leicester, Michael supervised more than 20 successful PhD projects.
Michael has helped numerous companies to create successful TT designs. Many of these designs have been produced in compliance with international safety standards and guidelines (including IEC 61508, ISO 26262 and DO-178).
Michael currently serves as Executive Director of SafeTTy Systems Ltd.
Course TTb+ is delivered only as part of a SafeTTy Solutions™ package.
